I got a hair cut today, so I'm lookin' spiffy. Awww yea! :)
The American Bar Association has a great article on stupid patents (Update:
which no longer exists), such as the Amazon.com 1-click patent. It also mentions that
back in the 70's, this one company wanted to patents the process of converting
decimal to binary. Sounds suspisiously like Microsoft's supposed
patenting of one's and zero's.... :)
NEAR is going to be left
on Eros. NASA got a lot of information from it's stay on the astroid though,
so it is nice that it was able to land safely on it.
Wired is running a
piece on why security is so
bad. Mostly it has to deal with lack of budgeting, and the naive assumption
that you're "safe". It also includes the awesome phrase "click-clicking". I like
that. I think I'll go click-clicking around the 'net now.
